Just a quick note: The use of csh is rather rare in modern times, and it
would not be the "default" shell on RedHat or OSX.
Since (a) people get easily confused with too much information; and (b)
anyone using csh as a shell most likely made a conscious decision to do
that, and hence probably already knows the difference between "export"
and "setenv", I'm thinking we should modify the configure message, and
just tell people to use "export".
