I don’t know if you are using MacPorts, Homebrew or native mac compilers so I’ll try to answer broadly, the final answer came from DAC i think, last time we where discussing this and I seem to remember him using MacPorts?

You’ll find instructions on compiling using either Homebrew or just native mac compilers, sadly not using mac ports. Though maybe this will guide you along anyway?
