Hi Jason,

I tried to follow carefully the instruction in the wikidot link you sent me, macport and xcode and Xquartz and most packages needed were installed correctly but there are still errors....

But there is something that appears again and again regarding llvm-3.1, which apparently is not compatible with mavericks.... and therefore I cannot install for example gcc47:

>sudo port install gcc47
---> Computing dependencies for llvm-3.1
---> Fetching distfiles for llvm-3.1
Error: llvm-3.1 is not supported on Mavericks or later.
Error: org.macports.fetch for port llvm-3.1 returned: unsupported platform
Please see the log file for port llvm-3.1 for details:
    /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_lang_llvm-3.1/llvm-3.1/main.log
Error: Unable to upgrade port: 1
Error: Unable to execute port: upgrade libgcc failed

And the same error for mpich-gcc47

sudo port install mpich-gcc47
---> Computing dependencies for llvm-3.1
---> Fetching distfiles for llvm-3.1
Error: llvm-3.1 is not supported on Mavericks or later.
Error: org.macports.fetch for port llvm-3.1 returned: unsupported platform
Please see the log file for port llvm-3.1 for details:
    /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_lang_llvm-3.1/llvm-3.1/main.log
Error: Unable to upgrade port: 1
Error: Unable to execute port: upgrade gcc47 failed

Do you know what can solve these problem??

I googled and found that version llvm-3.3 is supported
See http://docs.gz.ro/macports-llvm33.html

But....I get many errors as well......

Thanks a lot,

I also paste the log file mentioned above.....
