AMBER: compilation under fedora core 1

Hi,

I had some difficulties compiling amber7 under fedora core 1 on a dell
laptop inspiron 8200. The problem was with xleap, and the error was
something like this:
....
> ../Leap_lib.tmpl:6: warning: this is the location of the previous
definition
> In file included from /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/config/Imake.tmpl:2030,
> from Imakefile.c:35:
....
I found in the mail reflector a reply by David Case to remove comments
in the Imakefile, which I did (actually, I removed all comments in all
Imakefiles in the src/leap dir), and then the compilation went fine.
Only now, when I start xleap, I can't see the fonts. Xleap starts, but
when I enter text in the unit editor, I can't see it. Does anyone have a
n idea how to fix this?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Carsten
