Also, this extra info may be helpful. When I now type ./update_amber
--version I get

[root.neon amber16]# ./update_amber --version
Version is reported as <version>.<patches applied>

AmberTools version 17.00
    Amber version 16.07

And running ./update_amber --check-updates gives me the output

[root.neon amber16]# ./update_amber --check-updates
Checking for available patches online. This may take a few seconds...

Available AmberTools 17 patches:

No patches available

Available Amber 16 patches:

No patches available

Strangely, when I type ls -l in the AmberTools/bin directory however, none
of the binaries have today's date. So it thinks it is updated but no
binaries have actually been recompiled through the upgrade procedure?

Thanks again,
Joe
