  Your question, or at least where it is coming from, is not clear to me.
You should probably provide a little more information. Are you see this
phrase ('the backbone is a
mass') in leap's output topology file (e.g. filename.top)?

  If you want to check the geometry (e.g. torsions) of your molecule
(presumably a protein or DNA), then you can do this using the cpptraj
analysis tool.
