This *is* fixed in AmberTools14, at least as far as I can see.
The extent of parallelization for mdgx is rather limited, and I suspect very
people actually use it. So, if your mpicc installation doesn't easily support
turning off "-Werror=format-security", then you should either avoid the
parallel compilation of mdgx (as Jason described), or update to AmberTools14.
