Hi,
You can have several ways to have multiples gcc versions on CentOS-6:
1) source build + environment-modules to manage the PATH/etc
./configure --prefix=/opt/gcc/$version
and create the proper "module" that will define the prepended PATH LD_* variables
2) use the Software Collection Libraries (yum installable) but only in the testing area
