I am trying to install the iAPBS interface as per Jason Swails'
installation guidelines
(

But, first, I downloaded the apbs sources with subversion:
svn co
https://apbs.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/apbs/trunk apbs
as indicated in the iAPBS documentation:
http://132.239.16.211/iapbs/doc/amber.html
I did so because building iAPBS from the sources tarball in sourceforge
(1.4.1, which BTW compile via cmake) using the directions from Jason or
from the iAPBS documentation, fails.
This is OSX with Snow Leopard Server (10.6.8) and GNU compilers.
Then, after running on the subversion sources:
./configure CC=gcc-4.6 CXX=g++-4.6 F77=gfortran FC=gfortran
CFLAGS="$CFLAGS -DVAPBSQUIET" --prefix=${APBS_PREFIX}
--enable-abps-quiet --disable-openmp
(note that --enable-abps-quiet has to be actually --enable-abps-quiet to
be recognized, a typo in the configure file?)
make
finishes without error. But then, running 'make install' ends with:
