Thanks for the info; we've tested gcc 4.4.0, 4.4.1, 4.4.2 and 4.4.3 on
various platforms, but the 4.4.3 tests have all been on MacOS. If someone
on the list is running Fedora Core 12, (or exactly this version of gcc) it
would be interesting to see if the problem can be reproduced.
