Looks good, if odd. But are you still getting the error:
gcc: /lib/libsym.a no such file or directory?
And do you still think that "/lib/libsym.a" actually *does* exist (with
a time/date stamp later than config.h?)
By now, the error reports are spread out over many emails, with mostly
partial answers in any one of them. Maybe you should precisely recap the
problem in its entirety.
