Hello,

Recently I replaced my old mandrake 9 linux with the latest Mandriva Linux 2009 One, Kernel 2.6.27 (www.mandriva.com) on an Intel PentiumIV 3000 Mhz PC to eliminate some driver problems.

However when I tried to install ambertools 1.2 (amber10) using

./config_at gcc

the program does not compile and the config.h file was not created

I get the following message :

Setting AMBERHOME to /opt/amber10

Warning: the X11 libraries are not in the usual location !

To search for them try the command: locate libXt

On Fedora Core 5 install an xorg-x11-devel package.

On RedHat8 install an XFree86-devel package.

For the moment Amber will be configured not to build XLEaP.

Testing the C compiler:

gcc -DUSE_AMBER_C9XCOMPLEX -o testp testp.c

Unable to compile a C program using gcc -DUSE_AMBER_C9XCOMPLEX

Please check your compiler settings or configure flags.

It all used to work with the old linux version on the same machine.

Has anybody an idea what compiler settings or flags I have to use with config_at, or if I have to download and install different compilers first ?

Thanks a lot,

Jan.
