Anytime I have a bit of a problem compiling sander it comes from the
div-con stuff. I'll use the flag you suggest.

You can use the -nosanderidc flag to configure_amber to remove the divcon
stuff. (Most compile-time problems come from divcon). I don't think there is
any easy way to leave out the other QM stuff. What is your motivation here?
