just .02 cents
the R12K is a 64 bits cpu, and you have errors in 32 bits libs?

Does "versions mpi" give you both 32 and 64 bits libs?

[tru.rosebud ~]$ versions mpi
I = Installed, R = Removed

all 32 bits libs ? not 64? they should be living in /usr/lib64/

good luck,
