tleap but no xleap on IBM SP3

Hello,
        For some reason I am unable to compile xleap. So at the moment I
would like to go ahead with tleap alone. I am unable to make appropritate
changes to this purpose..., I would be very thankful if anyone lets me
know how to go about doing this.

OS: IBM SP3
V : AMBER6
