The mpich file is to compile a parallel version (sander only); it assumes
that you have the mpich parallel library installed, and that the mpich
include files are at /usr/local/src/mpich/build/LINUX/ch_p4/include.
Try the non-parallel Machine.g77 machine file instead. (The mpich stuff is
free, and available from www.mcs.anl.gov, among other places.)
Hope this helps.

Subject: Compilation of Amber6 in linux machine
Dear AMBER users,
I am trying to compile amber6 in redhat linux6.2.I 've used this
machine file Machine.g77_mpich & i tried to compile anal directory
The compilation stops after giving the err message like this
cat mexit.f | /lib/cpp -traditional
-I/usr/local/src/mpich/build/LINUX/ch_p4/include -P
-DLinux -DISTAR2 -DREGNML -DMPI > _mexit_.f
:25: mpif.h: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** [mexit.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home1/shiba/amber6/amber6/src/lib
make: *** [libobj] Error 1
For me it seems some library files are missing in /usr/local/src,if so
from where can i download this files??.And also i want to know what is the
difference bet Machine.g77_mpich & Machine.g77.When i tried to compile
with Machine.g77,i couldn't start compilation only.I will be thankful if
somebody could suggest on this.
regards
madhu
