Hello David A Case,
When I am ready to run the tests, the values of AMBERHOME and PYTHONPATH are:
[sunyp.localhost amber18]$ echo $AMBERHOME
/home/sunyp/software/AmberTools/amber18
and
[sunyp.localhost amber18]$ echo $PYTHONPATH
/home/sunyp/software/AmberTools/amber18/lib/python2.7/site-packages:/home/sunyp/software/AmberTools/amber18/lib/python2.7/site-packages
respectively.
The output of "ls -l amber.python" in the $AMBERHOME/bin directory is:
[sunyp.localhost amber18]$ cd $AMBERHOME/bin
[sunyp.localhost bin]$ ls -l amber.python
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 sunyp sunyp 23 Oct 9 20:01 amber.python -> ../miniconda/bin/python
Best regards.

[Failure to import amber python modules]:
When you are ready to run the tests (i.e. after all files have been
sourced) what are the values of your AMBERHOME and PYTHONPATH
variables?
It might also help to report what the following gives:
[sunyp.localhost amber18]$ echo $PYTHONPATH
/home/sunyp/software/AmberTools/amber18/lib/python2.7/site-packages:/home/sunyp/software/AmberTools/amber18/lib/python2.7/site-packages
...thx...dac
