Hi,
You should not try to compress netcdf trajectories.
Compressed netcdf trajectories cannot be read in cpptraj for processing.

Subject: [AMBER] Compressing trajectory file

Dear Amber User and Developer

I have trajectory files. there are 50 files totally around 18 GB. The
trajectory was written in netcdf format.

I tried to compress using bzip2. The size of output file only 17 GB. only 1
GB differences with the original file.

Is this because the netcdf format ? or the bzip2 is not good for
compressing ?

Thank you.
