Dear David,

Thank you very much for answering.
I attach a log file of the recompilation of leap by using "make --debug" .

I did not notice any special issues in this log... the compilation works
just fine but when running I get the errors pointed in my previous enail ...

I also compiled with gcc 4.3 (instead of the default gcc 4.6) but I got
the same behavior.

It would be nice if somebody else using openSUSE 12.1 could tell if
he/she has a functional xleap...
