Dear Amber users,

Perhaps it is not very suitable to put this question here, but it has confused me for long time! So, please forgive me, if this email has harassed you.

When I read references, I found there is no clear definition of the electrostatic interaction. Some paper equivalent electrostatic interaction with the Coulombic interaction, whereas some paper consider the electrostatic interaction as a combination of Coulombic interaction and desolvation of the polar part (ele = coulombic + polar desolvation)? Is there any authoritative definition of electrostatic interaction? Can anyone recommend me some representative paper on my question?

I am really appreciated for your help!

Best wishes,

Rilei Yu
