Dear AMBER Mailing List,

i am diong the job of acetylation mechanism study. original i consider the distance of proton transfer from lysine to glu is within 3A, while the distance between lysine NZ and accoa C is within 3.5A.

but after looking into the details of some crystal strucures, i found that some refs. indicate the distance for proton transfer is about 5A,(from crystal structure) and the NZ an C is about 5A.

thus i am wondering which is right, ?

thak you for your send back!

Best regards
