Hi Viay,
I just did the following on our IA64 machine which works great using the following version of Intel ICC:
tg-login2 src/carnal> icc -V
Intel(R) C Itanium(R) Compiler for Itanium(R)-based applications
Version 9.0 Build 20060223 Package ID: l_cc_c_9.0.032
Copyright (C) 1985-2006 Intel Corporation. All rights reserved.
FOR NON-COMMERCIAL USE ONLY
I assume other versions will work as well.
tar xvf amber7.tar
cd amber7/src/carnal
icc -fast -o carnal *.c
This produces the executable 'carnal' in amber7/src/carnal/ which you can then move to a directory of your choice. I have no idea if it produces the correct answers, you'll have to test this yourself.
Good luck,
Ross
