Dear All AMBER Mailing List Subscribers
In order to centralize the location of online information and support
concerning the AMBER Software under the domain: ambermd.org it is necessary
to move the amber mailing list from its present location of
amber.scripps.edu to a new address: amber.ambermd.org.
Later today (Tue) I will automatically subscribe all existing
amber.scripps.edu mailing list subscribers to the new mailing list
amber.ambermd.org. You should receive a welcome message to the new list. If
you have not received a welcome message by this time tomorrow (Wed) you will
need to manually subscribe yourself to the new amber mailing list. For
details about the new list and to manually subscribe please see:
http://lists.ambermd.org/mailman/listinfo/amber
At 6pm EST (11pm GMT) today the existing amber mailing list
(amber.scripps.edu) will be switched off and any messages posted to the list
will be thrown into a big dark hole. Hence after 6PM EST (11PM GMT) TODAY
(TUE) ALL MAIL INTENDED FOR THE AMBER MAILING LIST MUST BE SENT TO
amber.ambermd.org.
The mailing list web archive will remain the same at
http://archive.ambermd.org/.
It is our intention that to continue receiving mail from the AMBER list no
action will be required on your part, except that you may need to modify
your local mail filtering rules. There may, however, be a small number of
subscribers who are not successfully subscribed by the automatic
subscription. If you find that you are no longer receiving mail from the
AMBER mailing list we apologize for this and ask that you manually subscribe
as detailed above.
We are attempting to make this transition with the minimum amount of
disruption, however, this is a completely new mail server and so we
appreciate your patience with any initial teething problems that may occur.
All the best
Ross
