Hi Andrew,
I think it may be an issue with building statically and your system not
having static version of the X11 libraries installed. On most systems these
come as part of the xorg-dev package but obviously on OpenSuse 11 thi is not
the case.
Edit your config.h file and remove all occurrences to "-static" then
cd $AMBERHOME/src
make clean
cd leap
make install
and see if that helps.
