Dear Sir/Madam,

When I install AMBER10 under my home directory in a NERSC server (System
Type: Cray XT, CPU Type: Opteron), it fails at the part /netcdf/.

/amber10/src/netcdf/src/
$./configure (It is OK)
$make check (It stops)

cd .. && /bin/sh /u0/j/jianliu/amber10/src/netcdf/src/missing --run
autoheader
autom4te: cannot lock autom4te.cache/requests with mode 2 (perhaps you are
running make -j on a lame NFS client?): Function not implemented
autoheader: /usr/bin/autom4te failed with exit status: 1
make[1]: *** [nfconfig.in] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/u0/j/jianliu/amber10/src/netcdf/src/fortran'
make: *** [check-recursive] Error 1

If I ignore the above error(s), and do
$make install (It fails)

make[2]: Nothing to be done for `install-exec-am'.
test -z "/usr/local/share/man/man3" || mkdir -p --
"/usr/local/share/man/man3"
mkdir: cannot create directory `/usr/local/share/man': Read-only file system
make[2]: *** [install-man3] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/u0/j/junliujun/amber10/src/netcdf/src/f90'
make[1]: *** [install-am] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/u0/j/junliujun/amber10/src/netcdf/src/f90'
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1

Would anyone like to give me a clue on what to correct them? Thanks much!

Sincerely yours
junliujun
