If your problem is about the installation of leap, then
you may want to try the attached patch file that Ross sent me about a week ago. I have not had a chance to try it yet since my system crashed last week and I have other duties to accomplish before reinstalling SUSE 10.2 on my system...
Please also let us know if the patch works

Can you please try the attached bugfix and see if it works. Copy the file to
$AMBERHOME/src/leap/src/Xraw and then
patch -p0
cd $AMBERHOME/src
make clean
make
