Dear Choon-Peng,
Thanks for your reply. But the problem is I am not familiar with this thing. I am using Cygwin Bash Shell for running Amber. I tried the command
export DISPLAY=hostname:0.0
and tried to run xleap again. But this time I get following error message:
_X11TransSocketINETConnect: Can't get address for hostname
Error: Can't open display: hostname:0.0
I really have no idea what this mean. Can you please explain it?
With thanks
Jahid

Dear Md. Jahidul Islam,
Sorry, it's me again.
Please try:
export DISPLAY=hostname:0.0
to have X-windows open in the local machine.
If you did not assign any machine name, then use localhost.
Format is:
hostname:displaynumber.screennumber
You may have to use the full name for the workstation.
See if the above works.
It might just be an X-windows problem.
cheers,
Choon-Peng

Hello,
I just installed Amber 9 in my workstation (OS-Windows XP) using cygwin. The problem is I can run tleap, but i can't run xleap. When I gave the command:
$AMBERHOME/exe/xleap -s -f $AMBERHOME/dat/leap/cmd/leaprc.ff99
The following message showed
Bash: Can't open the display
Can anybody help me?
