Hello,
I was unable to find an answer to my particular question in
either the platform-specific instructions or the FAQS and
did not see a posting in the reflector. So here goes my question
(hopefully it is not redundant).
I attempted an installation of my edition of Amber8 on a P4
running Fedora Core 5 with ifort as the compiler. Compilation
failed while making programs in src/Wc and issued the following error:
make[1]: Entering directory `/amber/amber8/src/leap'
Compiling basic programs
cd src/Wc; make
make[2]: Entering directory `/amber/amber8/src/leap/src/Wc'
Makefile:10: warning: overriding commands for target `.c.o'
../../../config.h:87: warning: ignoring old commands for target `.c.o'
gcc -c -I/usr/X11R6/include -O2 -o WcActCB.o WcActCB.c
WcActCB.c:22:28: error: X11/IntrinsicP.h: No such file or directory
WcActCB.c:29:24: error: X11/ShellP.h: No such file or directory
Is Amber8 incompatible with Fedora Core 5? Is Amber8 running on older
versions of Fedora Core successfully?
Thank you for your time,
David
