When you set up your ssh client, did you configure it
so that X11 forwarding is turned on? If not, try
editing your ssh_config file so that "X11 forwarding"
is set to "yes" (or "on" or "true" or whatever). If
you're using a GUI client, try looking in the menu bar
for "Preferences" or "Configure..." or something
similar, and you can probably turn it on that way.
Then try reconnecting via ssh and see if you can open
xleap.

Also, trying setenv DISPLAY IPaddress might not hurt,
either, if all else fails.
