Well, I don't have a very big clue about this. Maybe the Solaris
m4 can't handle this large expansion? You might try installing
gm4 (Gnu m4) and changing the path so that it is picked up before
the native Solaris m4. But what is really needed is for a Solaris
guru to step forward :-)
