Noah,
I just got done installing AMBER onto a G5 myself, and it's quite
fantastic. as for the compilers, you can buy them from ibm's web page,
or get them on a 60 day free trial.

http://www-306.ibm.com/software/awdtools/fortran/xlfortran/

here's the xlf90, xlc should be findable from there. good luck.
