What arguments did you give to configure? There should not be any flags
saying "processor=r5000" if you are on an R10k machine; in fact, I cannot
see anything in the configure script that would generate a "-TARG" flag
at all. As best I can see, it looks like you are trying to cross-compile
an R5000 executable on an R10000 machine (?!?).

As I think I said before, Roberto Gomperts at SGI is likely to be the best
person to work with.
