I would like to bring to your attention the opening of a PhD position within the Spanish Agency for Research (AEI, FPI call) in our group. Please find below the information regarding the offer.
Area of research: Molecular Dynamics simulations, biophysics, proteins, phase transitions, biomolecular condensates, and statistical mechanics
Project description: Development of a multiscale computational approach to investigate:
1) How the molecular grammar in protein sequences regulates the physicochemical behaviour of intracellular biomolecular condensates.
2) The time-dependent material properties of condensates which gradually age and give rise to pathological assemblies related to degenerative disorders.
This project will be performed in close collaboration with experimental and computational groups from Imperial College, Max Planck Institute of Dresden, and the University of Cambridge
Last day for application: 1st December 2023
Starting date: March-June 2024
Duration: Up to 4 years including international research internship of up to 6 months. Standard PhD FPI salary offered by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.

Qualifications:
- Degree and master's in chemistry, physics, computational science, mathematics, or biology
- Programming experience
- Good English level
