Thanks Scott,

The line 86 had "11.6" and not "11.7" ... I modified to "11.7" and the
build was successful. However, it is still unclear to me why this same
error did not pop up with GCC 11.2.1 and CUDA 11.8.0

Anyhow, problem solved
