Two postdoctoral positions are available in Dr. Jing Huang's group (www.compbiophysics.org) in the recently established Westlake University located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China. The research in Dr. Jing Huang's group focuses on developing new computational models, and combining them with novel simulation algorithms to study complex biological systems and traditionally "undruggable" targets.
We are seeking self-motivated postdoctoral fellows with any of the following research background and interests:
1) Molecular dynamics simulations of protein systems, including membrane proteins, intrinsically disordered proteins, and protein-protein interactions. Experiences with enhanced sampling or free energy calculations or Markov state modeling preferred.
2) Computer-aided drug design. Applicants should have medicinal chemistry background, and practical experiences of virtual screening, docking, and pharmacophore modeling. Experience with binding free energy calculations preferred.
3) Force field development, mainly involving using quantum chemistry calculations to evaluate and improve polarizable force fields. Experiences with QM/MM or ab initio molecular dynamics preferred.
The salary will be 200,000 to 300,000 RMB (about 31500 to 47500 USD) per annum according to the research experience. The appointment will be for three years, and can be further extended upon mutual agreement.
Please send your CV to Dr. Jing Huang (huangjing-AT-wias.org.cn) if interested. Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.
