What is the version of the NVIDIA driver are you using? One thing to try
would be to update the driver to the latest version.
Also usually, the GUI uses the card to which you have your monitor
plugged. May be you have SLI? Also can you provide details of what
application(s) you are running on GUI that cause jobs to be shutdown.
