Anyone interested in this should read the above web site carefully. The
Intel compilers are offered for free to some (not "all") academics -- you
have to meet Intel's requirements.
[Aside: unless/until you are carrying out large-scale simulations, there are
minimal benefits to going beyond the gnu compilers.]
