One possibility is to use a Virtual Machine to create a Unix environment
within your laptop. That would be my first choice with WIndows.
Otherwise, I would search for Windows-specific install instructions, and
I'd start by installing Cygwin, which gives a simulation of the Unix
command line in Windows.
