This problem is entirely unrelated to Amber. If you did not install Amber
as root and you did not use the "sudo" command to build Amber, it's
actually impossible for the Amber installation to have broken your network
card (and even if you used sudo, I still don't think it could have broken
your networking capability).

A far more likely culprit is some kind of system or driver update that your
system did either automatically or with your permission.

At the end of the day, we can't help here. Not only do we have no idea
what could have caused the internet connectivity problems (since it's not
possible for Amber to have caused the problems), but I suspect most of us
address issues like this by the "google -> try suggestion -> back to
google" loop until we find something that works. At least that's what I do.
