You need hardware version 2.0 or greater. Some cards require relatively
recent drivers -- the page cited above gives details. See also the
"installation and testing" section further down on the page cited above.

http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx, which is the
top link when you Google for "nvidia gpu driver download".
