You have two problems. First is that you do not have write permissions
inside $AMBERHOME. You should change the owner of the AMBERHOME directory
to your main user. Assuming your username is "subho" this command would be
sudo chown -R subho /usr/local/mds/amber12
Then you need to make sure you have the correct libraries installed before
you compile. The instructions here tell you what to do for Ubuntu:
