This is not true. While the link is broken, update_amber ignores the HTML
code and attempts to directly download the files themselves. Those links
on the bugfix website are rarely used (the updating script handles updates
for most people), which is why nobody noticed the broken link for several
weeks. (I have applied that update numerous times to different
repositories without problems.) Besides, a timeout does not indicate that
a file doesn't exist on the website (in fact, unless the website is down it
most likely means the file _does_ exist). A 404 code returns immediately
(and in fact that's what update_amber uses to determine that there are no
more updates).
When I click on this link, I get an http-404 error, page not found.
