You have some kind of messed up firewall locally on your machine or local
network. Your traceroute here isn't even getting out of your local router. I
would suggest talking to your system admin and ask them to please give you
'real' internet access. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done from
this end, for some strange reason your connection is being blocked by
someone between you and the amber server. Can you see
http://ambermd.org/ by
any chance? - i.e. is it just
http://lists.ambermd.org/ that is not working?
Do you get any error message / timeout?
Without a working traceroute it is largely impossible to debug any further
so you will need to get your local network people to address this first.
Do you have any VPN accounts anywhere you could use to connect instead? -
That way circumventing whatever stupid blocks someone has put in place?
