Hi Marudachalam,
other people will probably chime in here, but basically yes, it should
work with either. We run Amber10 on Redhat, CentOS and Fedora without
major problems and I used to run Amber8+9 under Suse Linux. You should be
fine with any major distro, although minor installation problems can (and
do) occur. Be aware that you also have to get a Fortran Compiler from
somewhere. gfortran works (I think) but most people use Intel ifort.
