....No, it isn't. for 32 bit executables you need /usr/lib/libm.a
If this is missing, you should install
glibc-devel-X.Y.Z-W.i386.rpm,
with X,Y,Z,W the numbers appropriate for RHEL WS v3.0

Besides, it really pays to compile AMBER for 64 bit mode, at least on
AMD64s, I've not tested that on Intel CPUs yet.
