Dear Amber Community, I have so far attempted the reinstallation of a
parallel amber8 install in an amber8_mpi directory. "./configure
-mpich" was run and the results are as follows:
>Setting up Amber configuration file for architecture: SunOS
>Using parallel communications library: mpich
>MPICH_HOME is set to /space/mpich-1.2.6
>
>The configuration file, config.h, was successfully created.
The MPICH_HOME environment variable was set to "/space/mpich-1.2.6",
but upon "make parallel", the following error is reported.
>huey# make parallel
>grep: illegal option -- q
>Usage: grep -hblcnsviw pattern file . . .
>Error: config.h is of type serial, not parallel !
> Rerun ./configure and specify an MPI implementation.
>*** Error code 2
>make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `configured_parallel'
Thank you for you time and concern-
Msgr. E.Joseph Nolan IV
