Hi,

I am trying to force compile AMBER8 to work on an SGI O2 (R5000) I found at
my home institution on a R10000 computer. When attempting to compile, I get the
following warning:

frodo 55. make serial
Starting installation of Amber8 (serial) at Thu Sep 16 12:43:49 PDT 2004.
        mkdir ../exe
Cannot create directory "../exe": File exists
*** Error code 2 (bu21) (ignored)
        cd lib; make install
        /lib/cpp -P -I/disk02/usr/people/jsanders/amber8/src/include -DSGI
-DnoVDINVSQRT -DSGIFFT new2oldparm.f > _new2oldparm.f
        f90 -c -n32 -mips4 -r5000 -OPT:roundoff=3:IEEE_arithmetic=3 -TENV:X=1
-O0 -o new2oldparm.o _new2oldparm.f
f90: Error: -32 compilation not supported for ucode
*** Error code 2 (bu21)
*** Error code 1 (bu21)

We have tried using the f77 compiler and switching around the mips settings.
None have worked. What other options should we try to get this to compile?
Please reply ASAP.
