The Department of Structural Biology of the GBF, a German research
center belonging the Helmholtz-Society
and funded by the German Government and the State of Lower Saxony, is
looking for a

Postdoctoral Scientist (BATIIa)

for a new project financed by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG)
entitled
 "Interactive molecular models as central entry and documentation tool
for biological informations".
This project is a collaboration with the group of
    Prof. Dr. D. Fellner (Institute for Computer Graphics, Technical
University Braunschweig.

Project tasks:
The project centers around the development of a so-called "BioBrowser",
who will simultaneously
allow both the interactive representation of biomacromolecules and an
easy access to biologically
relevant information. The successful candidate will be involved in the
structural biology and
bioinformatics part of the project.

Requirements:
Scientific Ph.D. Strong interest in structural biology and bioinformatics.
Knowledge in computer programming (C, C++) and computer graphics.
