Program versoins

Hi, after being for a moment absent on the topics, i'm back, and
i figured out that many messages, in particular coming from
Thomas Cheatham, are about new versions of programs.
Do you think about any version numbering, like it is made for
free projects, like amber94, leap version 2.0.3, sander version
2.3.4 ...
It would be really useful to have this kind of history for each
part of AMBER. I know it means a lot of work, sorry ...
